Ingredients
1 big Tomato
1.5 cup Water
2 tsp Tamarind Water
1/4 tsp Jaggery
Salt to taste
A pinch of Haldi Powder
A pinch of Hing Powder
Few Coriander Leaves
Rasam Powder
1 whole Dry Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Coriander Seeds
1/4 tsp Jeera
1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Oil
Instructions
1.Boil the tomato with 1/2 cup water for 5-10 minutes on a low flame till they become soft. Bring down from the flame.
2.Add 1 cup water and mash slightly. Do not blend it in a mixer, Strain the tomato puree & keep aside.
3.Sauté all the rasam powder ingredients on a low flame & after cooling powder it finely. Add salt, jaggery and haldi to tomato puree and boil.
4.Add rasam powder & hing, cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove it from the flame.
5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
