Ingredients
3 medium-sized Tomatoes
2 Green Chillies
2 tsp Tamarind pulp
1 tsp Chana Dal
1 tsp Coriander Seeds
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Kashmiri Red Chilli
1 Onion (finely chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
1 tsp Ginger (finely chopped)
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
6 Curry leaves
1/2 tsp Oil
Salt to taste
1 tsp Coriander Leaves
1 tsp Moong Dal
Instructions
1.Blanch tomatoes in boiling water for 2-5 mins, peel the tomatoes and chop it finely.
2.Dry roast chana dal, moong dal, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, kashmiri red chilli and then grind them together to a powder consistency.
3.In a pan heat oil, once the oil is hot put mustard seeds and curry leaves. Then add finely chopped ginger and garlic, and saute it. Add chopped onions to it.
4.Once onions are cooked put turmeric powder, roasted spice powder and salt. Add chopped tomatoes and cook well.
5.Further add tamarind pulp and mix well. Cook it for 2 -3 minutes and garnish it with coriander leaves before serving.
