What is Allergic Rhinitis?
Allergic Rhinitis or nasal allergy is commonly referred as hay fever. It results in a type of inflammation in your nose that occurs when the immunity system has absorbed too much of allergens. Some of the most common forms of allergens include dust, pollen grains, cockroaches, cigarette smoke, pests and perfume. Though these allergens are harmless but they can cause major irritation in your nasal membrane. The symptoms for this particular allergy is of varied type which includes continuous sneezing, watery eyes, nasal itching, discharge from nose and irritation in the nose.
It can occur among all age groups that includes both men and women, specially those before the age of 30. Allergy Rhinitis can be further divided into two categories:
Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis: This kind of allergy takes place during a particular season. It is most common during summer and spring.
Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: In this case, people suffer from the allergy throughout the year. It usually takes place due to pests, dander and dust.
People suffering from Allergic Rhinitis should take precautions to stay away from dust, wear masks and sunglasses, and wash hands at regular intervals. These precautions help you avoid any such symptoms that might trigger the allergy.
