Symptoms of Asthma
Here are some common symptoms of Asthma:
- Coughing: One of the major symptoms of Asthma, coughing often worsens during the nights or early in the morning and makes it very difficult for you to sleep.
- Wheezing: Another common symptom of is wheezing, which is a whistling sound that you hear while breathing.
- Tightness in the chest: You could feel like there’s something that’s squeezing your chest or there’s something heavy placed on your chest.
- Shortness of breath: Feeling out of breath is a common symptom of Asthma. Sometimes you may feel as if your lungs cannot just push air.
Not all people who have asthma have these symptoms. Likewise, having these symptoms doesn’t always mean that you have asthma. The best way to diagnose asthma for certain is to use a lung function test, a medical history (including type and frequency of symptoms), and a physical exam.
