Maca root

Maca root may also help treat depression, which can be one of the symptoms of PCOS/PCOD.

 

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is a very healthy medicinal herb. It can help your body to manage stress as well as other symptoms of PCOS/PCOD. It is also called “Indian ginseng.”

Saw palmetto pills

It can reduce excessive hair growth and hair thinning – one of the common symptoms of PCOS. Since the herb doesn’t take great, one can consume it in the form of pills.

Tulsi or Holy Basil

Tulsi is widely used in traditional medicines in India. It helps reduce blood sugar, prevents weight gain and lowers the stress hormone called cortisol.

Cinnamon

A natural blood sugar stabiliser, cinnamon has shown to drastically reduce insulin resistance by slowing down the food from the stomach to the digestive system. In fact, it also helps in reducing stomach cramps.

Licorice root
